The vision of calvary chapel columbus is related in the short essays below...

                                  Relational

Church is not a business!  Church is not a circus or side show!  Church is not a social club!  Church is not a networking tool for you to succeed in this life!  Church is not a good-will station!  Church is not a feel good facility!  Church is not entertainment!

CHURCH belongs to JESUS and IS TO BE RELATIONAL!  It is to be relational in three ways...

                                  1.  Relationship with Jesus Christ! - Jesus Himself said that He would build His church.  He desires a church that will honor Him and dedicate the rest of their lives to living for Him!  (Mt 16)
                                  2.  Relationship with the rest of God's Family: the body of Christ, His Church!  God's word teaches us that we should gather together to spur one another on to good deeds and to love... especially as we see that the day of His return is quickly arriving! (Heb 12:23-25)
                                  3. Relationship with the World around us!  Jesus said that He would leaves us His Holy Spirit so that we could be "effective winesses," to reach a lost and dying world for JESUS! (Acts 1:8)

                                  Applicable

                                  Picture
The vision of CCC is to bring the Word of God to the People of God to reflect the image of God!  Therefore, we desire to make all teachings applicable to our daily lives and everyday situations.  CCC longs to see a family of believers caring for one another and reaching out to each other!  We hope that by equipping the saints through solid bible teaching we will be able to reach those who are not saved and see them come to the saving grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! (Eph. 4)

                                  Biblical

Here at Calvary we are not necessarily striving for theological poignancy but actual BIBLICAL ACCURRACY!  Remember that theology is the study of God and anyone can do that, but to teach the BIBLE accurately is a much more sound way to get to KNOW GOD!  I like to tell people that if they want to read the LIPS OF GOD then READ HIS BIBLE!  (II Tim 3:16-17)

                                  Doctrinal

Calvary Chapel Columbus (CCC) is a non-denominational Church with the goal of leading all those who may attend into the everlasting arms of Jesus.

What We’re About at Calvary Chapel Columbus

“Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman who need not be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of Truth.”

                                  II Timothy 2:15

The roots of CCCstem from the Calvary Chapel movement out of Costa Mesa, Ca. We are a casual, come as you are fellowship of believers. We teach verse by verse through the Bible. Calvary Chapel Columbus has been formed as a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Our supreme desire is to know Christ and be conformed to His image by the power of the Holy Spirit.

We are not a denominational church, nor are we opposed to denominations as such, only to their overemphasis of the doctrinal differences that have led to the division of the Body of Christ.

We believe the only true basis of Christian fellowship is Christ’s (Agape) love, which is greater than any differences we possess, and without which we have no right to claim ourselves Christians.

We believe worship of God should be spiritual. Therefore, we remain flexible and yielded to the leading of the Holy Spirit to direct our worship.

We believe worship of God should be inspirational. Therefore, we give great place to music in our worship.

We believe worship of God should be intelligent. Therefore, our services are designed with great emphasis upon the teaching of the Word of God that He might instruct us how He should be worshiped.

We believe worship of God should be fruitful. Therefore, we look for His love in our lives as the supreme manifestation that we have been truly worshiping Him.
